Trying To Move The Sam Broadcaster Database

Image
A SAM Broadcaster user wanted to move their current MySQL database over to a new machine and appears to be having trouble doing so... That's the problem with SAM Broadcaster Pro while there is a backup feature it only backs up program files/settings and NOT the database. Users trying to backup SAM often run into error messages like this. Although why its trying to store a backup as .csv when it should be .sql puzzles me. You have to use external software or batch files if you want to even attempt to try and backup your MySQL database with SAM Broadcaster Pro After you've managed to take a backup of the SAMBC Database the events table isn't backed up as part of the backup and you will lose your events. RadioDJ comes with a tool that enables you to backup your RadioDJ database every day. ALL the data is backed up as part of the RadioDJ MySQL backup. If you decide to move RadioDJ to a new Computer all you would need to do is res

Sam Broadcaster Unable To Send Data Fast Enough

Image
Have you ever encountered this problem with SAM Broadcaster Pro Unable to send data fast enough Encoding paused until buffer clears Then you'll know how frustrating it can be when that error message appears in Encoders window. SAM Broadcaster Pro has taken my stream offline many a time with that darn buffering message. It has happened to different people with different ISP's and different Shoutcast/Icecast hosts/connections. When the encoders in SAM Broadcaster encounter this problem. I can guarantee you it's NOT your Internet connection or your computer at fault. Its those damn encoders not being coded properly. I have searched and read multiple posts on the forums and have yet to find a fix for this buffering problem It started off happening 1-2 times in a day and now won't even go a full song without disconnecting A long time user recently said this when they ran into this issue. I am presently having a major issue with m

Sam Broadcaster Pro Not Responding

Image
We keeping seeing more & more users with the same range of problems with SAM Broadcaster Pro Recent searches would suggest that all is not well with the software. SAM Broadcaster Pro not responding Serious problems with SAM Broadcaster SAM Broadcaster database error My SAM Broadcaster doesn't work Sam Broadcaster failed to load user interface Sam Broadcaster is encoding but not playing Sam Broadcaster opens then shuts back down SAM Broadcaster won't add to queue Decks not playing after Windows 10 update SAM Broadcaster Pro Why does Sam Broadcaster crash on Windows 10 SAM Broadcaster 2020.2 crashing every 15 minutes SAM Broadcaster pro frozen Windows 10 Unable to pick any track Sam Broadcaster The last search in that list is what's known as a Clockwheel failure where SAM Broadcaster Pro won't pick any songs Even if there are more than enough songs in that category for the Clockwheel Rotation to choose from This user thinks

Encoder Won't Show Up (Sam Broadcaster Live DJ)

Image
This was a search I saw recently on my old website... Encoder won't show up in SAM Broadcaster live DJ window The Live DJ version of SAM Broadcaster can only stream to 1 service SAM Broadcaster Cloud Its a stripped down version of SAMBC supplied to station owners who have SAM Broadcaster Cloud accounts which come with 5 DJ seats. Licensed versions of Live-DJ can only be used to stream to stations under your (the station manager’s) control I always thought the DJ seats were just a money making scam in the first place so they could extract more money from station owners. You can't use DSP plugins with SAM Live DJ so you can't encode using a DSP encoder. You won't get very far with SAM Live DJ if you've downloaded it illegally I believe that Live DJ automatically shuts down after a couple of hours use. Its NOT like the Pro version of the software that has the encoding capabilities included for the $299 price tag. Forget SAM Live DJ and use RadioD

Sam Broadcaster Pro Wrong Duration Times

Image
When it comes to Internet radio I find it's always best to use properly ripped & tagged audio files. You would expect those files should then show the correct duration in the audio software you are using. WOULDN'T YOU? Alas It would appear SAM Broadcaster has issues with the duration of some files. The user has tried converting and even re-recording the tracks and still SAM is showing the incorrect duration. You can see from the picture SAM Broadcaster thinks The Beatles tracks have long duration times. This has been a problem within SAM Broadcaster since the early days even with properly ripped & tagged audio files. I've found if SAM doesn't like an .mp3 file it shows the time as ??:?? One of the SVS volunteers on the Spacial Audio forums has tried to blame it on the users badly ripped audio files It's NOT the way your music files are ripped or encoded it's very much a long standing SAM Broadcaster BUG! RadioDJ doesn't h

Sorry That You Are Having Trouble With The Application (Sam Broadcaster Pro)

Image
Saw a Blog post from Spacial Audio. Seems like they've finally acknowledged there are major flaws with SAM Broadcaster We are sorry that you are having trouble with the application and we want to help you resolve this problem as swiftly as possible In order to do achieve this, the more specific information you can provide the more likely it is we can solve the problem quickly The blog post goes onto give examples of common errors that SAM Broadcaster throws up every now and then. If you've used SAM Broadcaster for a long time you will no doubt have ran into a serious violation type error every now and then. Don't say you haven't because that would be a big fat hairy LIE! So why the sudden change of attitude by Spacial Audio? They've gone from years of burying their heads in the sand to suddenly wanting to fix problems within their software. The program still has the same glaring bugs it had way back in 200
