There's A Reason Why I'm So Passionate About RadioDJ

Image
Sections of the Internet radio crowd do their best to knock me because I happen to promote free software. There's a reason I'm so passionate about RadioDJ free radio automation software. No other piece of radio playout software comes close to RadioDJ The performance, reliability and stability of Radio DJ is amazing I've used RadioDJ since 2010 and I haven't had a major issue while using it Even in BETA RadioDJ performs better than other radio playout software. If there has been any downtime or an issue its usually been computer hardware playing up. Hard drives & motherboards failing have been the main culprit in any downtime on my computers. Thankfully I use Solid state drives now I should get more life out of one of those. RadioDJ does everything I ask of it without crashing or hogging resources I don't even have to interfere with RadioDJ we can just leave it alone to AUTOMATE RadioDJ has also allowed me to have

Looked on the RadioDJ forums recently to find a post on the Testimonials section from a user called Capt Dave. His copy of RadioDJ v1.8.2 stayed up and running for 4 years, His uptime was ruined by Magic Smoke from the Laptop. Congratulations on making that amazing milestone Captain Dave. I knew how stable RadioDJ was from the period when we streamed for a now defunct radio station The only thing that got in the way of uptime are Windows Updates there's no escaping them if you want a secure computer. When there has been a major issue it turned out to be Computer hardware related Disc Drives have been the main culprit in any downtime since 2010 I switched to Sold State drives SSD about 10 years ago and the they're still going strong. RadioDJ is FREE so you hav

Real DJs don't use Winamp

Saw a topic a topic on the Winamp forums where someone said they were using Winamp to DJ at parties. OMG! Are you seriously attempting to use Winamp To DJ with? Man I bet your DJ sets suck the life and soul out of a party! Another user replied to the post with this: Real DJs don't use Winamp to DJ it doesn't crossfade properly Indeed DJ's don't use Winamp to produce mixes or radio shows. We use other software that is built for the job. I attempted to use Winamp over 20 years ago There wasn't much choice of radio playout software and it just didn't do the job I wanted it to do. I would regularly hear it repeating artists & songs, The crossfading between tracks in Winamp was just awful. I'd end up with dead air of around 3-5 seconds between tracks. SAM Broadcaster didn't fare much better... But that's another story. Winamp is only any good as a media player for listening to Shoutcast streams. While Winamp m
