When The Buffering Starts Its NOT Your Computer (SAM Broadcaster Pro)
I have SAM Broadcaster and it will not stream because of buffering errors
I know from past frustrations how awful it is when the encoders in SAM Broadcaster decide to start buffering during a live show.
I tested an old version of SAM v2.7.9 on a XP virtual machine and I had buffering within 10-15 minutes of firing up the encoder.
Buffering happened with many Shoutcast/Icecast hosts & ISP connectionsThe Issue extends to over 28 pages of posts on the SAM Broadcaster Forums
Users have been told its THEIR connection at fault when its the software
Its another (BUG) that the developers of SAM Broadcaster Pro don't appear to be in a hurry to fix.
The SAM (Streaming Audio Manager) encoders have been like this for 20+ YEARS.
It's NOT the user's Broadband or Shoutcast/Icecast server at faultThe encoders in SAM Broadcaster are Badly Coded
I've said it before but seriously you DON'T need SAM Broadcaster screwing your live broadcasts over with stream buffering.
I've used standalone encoding software for years & I've NEVER been knocked off air with any buffering.
I've been able to do live music streaming using software such as RadioDJ free radio playout software.
A standalone encoder takes the audio from RadioDJ and the encoding software streams to your server.
You don't need to put up with EXPENSIVE 2nd rate software that won't let you stream the way you want.
Using a Standalone Encoder is NO more difficult than using a built in one you configure the encoder(s) the same.
I find FREE software outperforms paid for software offerings
Forget SAM Broadcaster its yesterdays technology and if it can't stream without buffering then its no use to man nor beast.
If the technical Help desk at Spacial Audio tries blaming your connection tell them NO!
Whats the point in sugar coating things when a software such as SAM Broadcaster doesn't work as advertised.
ISP = Internet Service Provider
