RadioDJ Sound Settings (Built In Audio Processing)

I've used RadioDJ as my music automation solution since late 2010.

The one GREAT thing about RadioDJ is: Once you nail the settings of the built in audio processing everything will sound amazing.

A user had this to say on the forums.

We tested RadioDJ and it gave us the playout sound we wanted by default

I've tried all sorts of settings and configurations on the processor plugin it was all trial and error.

These are the settings I've used for a while in RadioDJ

From RadioDJ v2.0.2.0 (beta) You can now disable and enable different parts of the audio plugin.

I'm pleasantly surprised by how great the music sounds with just the compressor and stereo widening.

A user posted on the RadioDJ forums recently that he was using my configuration with the audio.

Please Note: While these audio settings work for myself and others there is no guarantee they will work on your system.

You don't have to use these suggested settings & you can always tweak where required, these settings are merely a suggestion.

Although I'd go as far as say my audio settings are perfect It makes it a pleasure to listen to music.

The sound settings only work on the main soundcard/player any other sound cards/Aux players will bypass the sound processing

You will need to provide external sound processing for those other channels/sound cards.

I find its best to encode music at a higher bitrate to get reasonable sound quality or FLAC if you have the disk space.

Remember the old adage: Crap Sound In = Crap Sound Out

If the CD you are ripping the file(s) from is of poor quality or pirated then those ripped tracks may sound awful.

Always use a genuine CD or genuine downloaded audio file where possible.

If you put the hard work in with your sound then you should attract lots of listeners.

There's no excuse for a bad sounding/distorted radio stream and there are lots of them LITTERING the Internet.
