How to Record Stuff: Audacity (FREE Audio Editor)
Audacity is a free to use audio editor most DJ’s use it along side other software to produce radio shows.
I discovered Audacity a long time ago and use it nearly everyday it performs really well and beats some of the paid for audio editing programs.
Audacity can record live audio through a microphone or mixer or digitise recordings from other media.
Audacity can also capture streaming audio directly from your computer. (Windows sound settings permitting)

It also has a plethora of plugins available for audio editing.
Like all software it may take you time to learn how it works but the learning curve will all be worth it.
It should help make your recordings streamlined and professional.
